Family Camping - Time to Prepare

It’s that time of year to start preparing for those exciting family camping holidays. Our family has enjoyed the great outdoors and camping for many years and each year it’s still exciting to get together and plan our next escape.

If you start planning now, it definitely gives you an advantage over others, especially if you want those premium campsites at the lake or at any other high tourist traffic location during the peak season. So many times, we’ve missed out on our favourite State or Provincial Park campground because we failed to make a reservation well in advance.

If you want that perfect spot at the Grand Canyon, Disneyland or at a major sporting event coming up, then you better make a reservation well in advance! Family camping is getting more and more popular every year and because of the present economic situation, it is without a doubt one of the most affordable ways to ‘get-a-way’ today!

Nothing Beats Family Camping

Over the years, our family have always enjoyed family camping holidays together. If it was just spending weekends at the lake tenting or planning a week or two vacation to the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas or any other exciting destination in our Recreational Vehicle. Camping along the way gives you a chance to stop and smell the roses! It’s also a great way to re-connect with loved ones in this fast paced world.

There’s nothing better than sitting around the campfire with family, cooking up ‘smores’ and catching up on what’s happening with everyone in their active lives.

If you’re like us at Holidays for Family, you work hard for your money and it seems to get more and more difficult to save. We know it’s important to be able to escape from the real world even if it is just for a weekend. There’s no better or affordable way to do this than family camping.

Pack up the car, truck, RV or whatever and head off to one of your favourite campgrounds for a day or two with the family. You’ll be glad you did! It refreshes the mind, reduces day to day stress and really gives you and your family a chance to catch up!

Family Camping – A Great Escape

For us, living in Canada, we love to take the RV south to the Nascar Races. We strategically plan each day of our trip with exciting stops along the way. We try to make sure there’s something for everyone to enjoy along the way, making for the perfect camping vacation for the whole family.

So start thinking of a place you would like to go with your family and begin planning that camping get- a -way. There’s an endless amount of valuable and helpful information on the internet just waiting for you to explore. A helpful tip when searching on the internet is to look for your destinations ‘official tourism website’. For example, I recently searched for ‘Kentucky tourism ‘.

It led me to the state of Kentucky’s official tourism website where I could access a huge amount of information. I even had them mail out their Official Visitor’s Guide and State Maps, all absolutely free! I was pleasantly surprised to receive this information much quicker than expected.

As well and something we purchase every year is the annual Trailer Life Directory. It’s filled with valuable information needed for planning a camping holiday. You’ll find everything you need in this ‘must have’ guide book. Trailer Life Directory has been around for many years and is a trusted source for receiving reliable and up to date information.

So dust off the tent, pack up the RV and get busy planning those family camping holidays!
